Only recently refurbished Avonlea House has been awarded a four star Highly Commended rating from the AA and provides a high standard of modern, comfortable ensuite accommodation. Each room has a TV, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and hospitality tray. Avonlea House provides a wonderful warm welcome for both the holiday and business visitor to Salisbury and surrounding areas. There is a guest lounge with a variety of games and books. Breakfast is served in the dining room with views of the garden at the large family table, we use locally produced farm produce and home made preserves. Special diets can be catered for. Situated only a five minute walk to the Old Sarum historically significant site, an Iron Age hillfort containing the ruins of a castle, cathedral and Bishops Palace. It is a 15 minute walk into Salisbury, with a convenient bus stop nearby. In addition, being close to the park and ride facility, you can enjoy all that Salisbury has to offer at your leisure and forget about the parking meter. Avonlea House is an perfect starting-point for guests to visit Stonehenge, Stourhead gardens, the New Forest, the coast and Bath. With its gentle, undulating countryside and safe country lanes, Salisbury and South Wiltshire provides unrivalled opportunities for cyclists and walkers.
